Playa El Istmito or Playa la Cabaña - This is the closest to the town and the place to go if you just want to swim or lie in the sun. You will need an insect repellent to protect yourself against the chitras (sand flies).
The beach is on Bahia Sand Fly. If you travel a bit further north, the beaches are more scenic..
